I'm special

Don't you think these E-mails are spoiling us? Well, they are useful, but more and more we have computerized communication tools and gadgets, we seem to starve for good old face-to-face dialogue. Because in bottom line, what we need is sharing something deep in our heart with somebody else.

I've been translating in many conferences, from International Conference like ASEAN to business discussion among 3 people. But for me, locked in the translator's booth and speaking to the microphone is boring. On the other hand, how great it is when two people from different culture can laugh together from the bottom of the heart! That's when I feel fortunate in being a translator and feel like I'm still something.

Well, maybe the job of a translator is just to replace English words with Japanese, but I can't live like that. I can't help myself adding a final touch or a little twist to the sentence, mainly a tint of humor and warmth. Because why do you use translators if they cannot make two people open arms to each other? Use bloody computer, then. Excuse my language.

I am special because I didn't study English. I learned it. I learned it by watching movies - well, action movies like Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Steven Seagal, Bruce Willis, Will Smith, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery films, mostly. That is why I speak your language, not Japanese English.

Anyway, if you think you need a "creative" translator like myself, please get in touch with me. I can advise you how to gain trust from your Japanese counterpart, or what expression is effective in convincing Japanese businessmen.

Inquiry, questions or comments are welcome. Please get in touch with me at the following.
